Wedding

Last week we went to my cousin M'Kenzie's wedding. She married the son of the owner of Nuskin. It was probably the funnest wedding reception I've ever been to. Even Mike didn't say one "Can we go now?" to me the whole night. The whole thing was so cool I just had to post about it and show some pics.

They served catered (yes catered) hot dogs, watermelon, veggies, and a plethora of lemonades.

And last but not least, the candy shop. My favorite. You picked up a bag and tossed in as much candy as you wanted. And I also should probably add, these weren't your ordinary candy, neither were the cupcakes.

While its true most people don't get to have carnivals for their wedding, it was still SO FUN to participate in. We had a ball.

Girls Camp

Overall girls camp was great. I only stayed up there 2 nights and Mike was a trooper and volunteered to be the priesthood leader for 1 night as well. We did all the typical girls camp activities. The girls stayed in cabins and leaders stayed in tents (which I preferred if you'd seen the cabins) and yes, I did have an air mattress so it was quite comfy. Our campsite pretty much had NO shade which was miserable during the day, but thanks to the other women/girls that were there they helped keep me cool in the dead hot of the day. This was the picture: one 12 year old fanned me off with a piece of cardboard, one leader got a big bucket of cold water to soak my legs in, another leader gave me her battery operated hand-held fan, and Mike was going back and forth filling up my water bottle. I really wasn't a whiner, but everyone was just so nice how could I argue with keeping cool? I wish to death I had gotten a picture of it...but I didn't really want to ask Mike to go grab the camera as well. It was so hot that afternoon I decided to leave early the next day (in the morning instead of the evening) to avoid the heat again.

Anyways, unfortunately I hardly got ANY pictures. But one of the days I was there they pulled out this super-size slip n slide that was really fun for everyone. Here's some pics of Mike. He was the only priesthood leader that went down (I know wierd huh?) and eveyone gave him a 10 out of 10 because of his daredevil moves of going down standing up.

Weeks in Review

I hate the fact that I always have tons I can post about, but no time to do it. I keep telling myself once I have this baby I'll have loads of free time, and Mike just laughs at me (which I'm sure all you mothers out there just did as well). So we'll see how that goes, but in the meantime you'll just have to bear with my sporadic and non-detailed posts. :)

After our trip to Seattle, I packed up and headed out for Youth Conference the following weekend. We had a great time, and my dad was kind enough to come down and drive his boat around for our whole group. The youth loved it as a lot of them had never been boating before. However, being out in the sun for 2 days straight does wear on you...and it showed after it was over. I don't think anyone walked away without a sunburn somewhere. Mine just so happened to be on my feet and I dealt with the pain for about 2 weeks afterwards. They swelled worse than I've ever seen my feet swell before, and it was definitely from the burn not from being pregnant. Even my nurse said sunburns in pregnant women are a lot worse because of your hormones. So thats pretty much the last time I go out in the sun without slapping sunscreen on every square inch of my body.

For the 4th of July we went to Star Valley, WY to spend with Mike's family.

Mike's also been busy working on the baby's room in our spare time. There's a ton to do as we are going to replace pretty much everything that was in it. All the molding, carpet, window-sills (which used to be tile), blinds and paint. We've been procrastinating and I'm starting to get in panic mode because I know how we work...slowly.

The baby's doing good and I feel like when I grow its always over night, and then I stay the same for awhile. So far I have loved being pregnant. To me its the most amazing experience that I will be forever grateful for and hope I get to experience a few more times. I've had such an easy pregnancy though I'm sure I'll get payback in the delivery room. Even still, we sure can't wait to meet our little guy.

Next up...Girls camp. I leave tomorrow. Oh yay.
