Photo Challenge

I'm going to try something new. I've been wanting to play with our new camera a little bit more and this seems like a fun, simple way of doing it. The challenge won't be if I can take these pictures, my challenge will be if I can actually blog on a regular basis!

Flower Power

Before I let time slip by too far, I thought I should post some pictures of Claire's birthday party.

The cupcakes I made, The petals are cut marshmallows dipped in sprinkles.  Thanks again Google for another successful idea!

I thought I was going to have a snitch on my hands. But he was a good boy...

Grandma Gleue with the 2 granddaughters, Riley and Claire. They are 6 months apart. Future BFF cousins.

The whole gang sans Krista + Kellen, and me (the picture taker). Dinner was homemade chicken nuggets, with potato salad, rolls, veggies, chips.

Every girl needs a pink stroller

Some boys tend to think they need one too...

Great-Grandma Gleue made her the cute pink teddy bear and little doll on the left.

She loves that little doll and gives her "kisses" all the time.

"Okay someone tell me what that glowing thing is...."

After the party, we put the kids to bed and a few of us adults stayed and watch a movie in the theater room. We had a great time! Thanks to our wonderful kids who give us a reason to party! Love you little Claire!

The "1" and Only

Happy Birthday to our little Claire bear. I've enjoyed so many moments with Claire this last year. I've loved having a baby girl. If she is my only daughter I will be 100% satisfied knowing that I at least have HER.

I love this age! A 12 month old baby is the best. (Girl or boy). Considering I've only experienced 3 years with children so far, my opinion may not mean much. But from my short experience this is my favorite age. Here's a few reasons why:

-They sleep through the night!!
-They don't throw tantrums. Or if they do they are very mild in comparison to a toddler, and somewhat cute.
-Table food is a new discovery and they love it. They'll eat anything put in front of them.
-They still take naps.
-No longer nursing.(!!)
-They are like sponges at this age and start learning SO much so fast. I love being her audience.
-Still somewhat immobile (at least a very slow paced mobility) so they can't run away from you.
-Simply stated, they are easy peasy. No newborn difficulties. No toddler difficulties. Please don't turn 2 Claire!

She has been an easy going, happy baby and we're so lucky to have her in our family!
