What's new you ask?

I decided to come up for air and make a quick post. The baby's room is almost finished! Well, I should say it is finished but we're awaiting carpet still (and have yet to order it) and make some finishing touches on the upper white walls. My mom, the ever-creative 'Stampin Up' gal found a super cute polka dot stamp set that you can put on walls with paint. So that'll be our last touch to make the room cute and add some color. Here's a pic we took a couple weeks ago (sorry the pics in this post aren't going to be the most recent because I'm tired and don't want to take any right now). What these pictures don't show is finished window frames and all the molding has been added as well. It looks so good. I have to give all the credit to my amazing husband as he's done the whole thing by himself. I just had to cook a little bit more than I'm used to.

The wall color is a chocolate brown, and the brown box you see in the corner of the picture is our baby's dresser...not out of the box. Right now its serving its purpose as being Mike's work table.

A partial window frame

Our crib! Just waiting to be put together.

It'll be so nice to see it all come together! I'll be sure and post photos as soon as its done.

As for the other part of our lives, my work is insanely busy this time of year. I know I rarely talk about my job, partially because its not one of my most favorite things in my life, and also because the only interesting parts is the wierd people I come across every day. But this weekend is opening weekend at the U, meaning 2,000 eager little freshman arrive to move into their dorms, and since I work in the management office it makes my job insane and I have to work late nights and on all day on Saturday which I hate. Its kinda funny to see some of the parents/students reactions to me being pregnant, I think their first thought is that 1. I'm a student like the rest of them, and 2. I must be this poor single pregnant girl trying to make her way through college and her job to feed her baby on the way. I wonder this because I can see their eyes usually dive straight to my ring finger when they notice I'm expecting. haha.

As for pregnancy, things are still going well and time seems to be going by way too fast. I've definately jumped into the more uncomfortable stages of pregnancy. Here's a few things that I've noticed within the last few weeks that haven't been so enjoyable:

1. Leg cramps. I've had leg cramps since I was about 5 months pregnant, but they seem to be getting a lot worse...to the point that I can't sleep very well anymore.

2. Speaking of sleep...my sleep is rarely undisturbed by either a leg cramp or getting up to use the bathroom. Oh and my shoulders hurt SO bad in the morning because of sleeping on my side. That might sound wierd, but I'm usually a stomach sleeper so the weight on my shoulders is not something I'm used to...especially as I pack on the pounds.

3. I never knew what it would feel like to literally not be able to breathe very well. Wow. Your stomach literally digs right into your lungs.

4. Bending over. I pretty much have little things left all over the house now of stuff that I've dropped and been too lazy to pick up, or isn't a necessity.

5. So tired. I swear I'm more tired now then I was in the 1st trimester. I can hardly keep my eyes open after work without a nap.

I realize I do have a lot to be grateful for as I still haven't had any swelling, strechmarks, or heartburn at all. And I love feeling my little guy move all the time. I swear he doesn't ever sleep. He moves all day and all night.

Here's a pic at 28 weeks:

And as for Mike. He's been trying to squeeze in as much outdoors time as he can before summer's over. He's out fishing tonight, and here's a pic of a hike he went on (at Lake Blanche up Big Cottonwood Canyon) a couple weekends ago. He's getting quite good at using our new camera.

I am jealous that you don't have any stretch marks yet! The babies room is going to look great. It is so nice to have a handy guy around.

The "not" sleeping thing is Heavenly Fathers way of preparing us for what is to come. Both of mine are finally sleeping through the night. So 3 years later I finally slept through the night.

Your baby will be lots of fun! You look really good! Can't wait to see what the finished room will look like.

for me, being tired during the pregnancy was nothing compared to the lack of sleep after the baby comes, not looking foward to that one!!! good luck and if you would like to meet up for some baby shopping just let me know! i'm good at that!

Things are looking good! I feel your pain on all those woes... seriously. Maybe more water will help with the cramps? But obviously not the bathroom breaks... Make sure you lotion up alot, I didn't have any stretch marks until after Addie came... don't know why or how, but I'm completely serious! =)
