Mike decided 4 months ago he wanted to go back to school. He got his bachelors 5 years ago and always insisted he was done. Well, over time I think the painful memories of school faded enough to think about it again. He crammed for the GMAT in 8 short weeks and scored well enough to earn him a scholarship and acceptance into BYU's MBA program for fall 2012! Mike is the kinda guy that when he puts his mind to something he does it, and he does it well. How do I feel about going back to school? Well, BYU does not allow their MBA students to work during their 1st year of school. So considering he's leaving a great job to live off student loans again I'm totally dreading it. But we have to think of it as an investment. And after meeting some of the current MBA wives and how positive and yes, fun the whole program is, I am totally excited and on board. 70% of graduates out of this program get jobs out of state. So we don't know where this will take us, and its a scary thing...but I think we're ready.

Back to School

Rock on that he did that well on the gmat that quickly!
Hopefully this will all work out perfect timing considering you've got the rent from your house and living in a house for 'free' and stuff.
Is it a 2 year program?
And having been married to a guy going to the Marriott School of Business... it's not that bad and goes by pretty fast! :) And they even have plenty of time to see you!
That is awesome! The time will be over before you know it. It's amazing how time never stands still and whether he goes to school or not two years will pass by all the same. Good luck!
We will pray that you get to be one of the 30% that stay in Utah to live after graduation. You already moved too far away for my liking.
But I am so proud of Mike for doing so well and so grateful to you for the way that you support him. Love you guys so much.
