Well we made it home and are adjusting well. Emmett is such a good baby. He loves to be held and cuddled, and is easy to lay down and have him stay asleep in his crib. He doesn't cry much, and when he does its only for one of his basic needs and he's his happy self again. My mom is here helping and is being a life saver. We love having her here. Mike has to go back to work on Monday. It was kind of a bummer he had to spend his week off of work in the hospital. But the hospital stay was nice, and I was treated so well, but there's nothing like your own bed and we were ready to come home! My recovery is a little better every day. I didn't realize how painful a c-section would be. Good news is I can now get out of bed on my own without needing a hand! We love Emmett so much, and its been so fun starting out being parents. Well, here's a few new pictures.

I don't know why I'm posting this picture, as its almost embarrassing. But so many people have asked how someone like me pulled off having such a big baby and well....this is why:

Congratulations! I am so happy that everything went well and he is SOO adorable! I can't wait to meet him! I hope you are doing well and I am very glad that your Mom is there! That can be really nice. I am sorry that Mike had to go back to work too! I think it is so hard to break the perfect bubble you are in when a baby is born and start to integrate reality with it! Hope everything keeps going well!
He is such a cutie! I can't believe you had a baby that big either! Crazy! I thought me having an 8 lb. baby was nuts! Since the doctor that delivered me said that I was not made to deliver babies that big! And you're smaller than me!! Anyway, I'm glad everything is going well for you and that he is such a good baby!
Congrats! He is very cute and what a good size! Remember to sleep as much as you can with your mom around! It! is so nice to have the extra help. I hope he keeps being such a great baby!
Oh he is darling! I'm comparing his size to Meg's (2 mo. now) and man they grow fast. Hold him as much as possible, they grow up too quicly! I love the picture of you! I totally know the feeling.

Your nicer then I am, I already told Grant he can't take any pictures of me while I'm pregnant or I'd hide his camera nice and hard. I'm glad your both doing good and your recovering well.

Emmett is so precious. How proud you must be. I'm glad you have made it home and I hope your recovery goes well. Aren't mothers wonderful. I'm so grateful to my mom and all she does for me. I'm glad your mom gets to be there for you.
