Day of Firsts

I woke up this morning at 7:00am to Emmett whimpering on the baby monitor. Then it hit me, not only did Emmett sleep though the night last night (he has before...) but so did I!! I don't think you understand. I think the last time I slept through the whole night was when I was maybe barely pregnant, and the nights of frequent trips to the bathroom hadn't begun yet. Then after that was over, the nights with a newborn began and I was up at least 2-3 times a night. Now that that's pretty much over, the nights of "Emmett hasn't woken up yet, I better go check on him" began. I think I turned over a new leaf last night. I must be feeling pretty comfortable with myself, and my baby. Aww...it feels good.

Also, after getting Emmett fed, changed, and settled on the floor to play he surprised me again and rolled over! Good thing, because I take him to the Dr. next week for his 4 month well-check and I didn't want to be the mother that the Dr. suspects doesn't give her child enough tummy time because he hasn't rolled over yet.

It's been a good day.

I think he's dreaming of karate, what do you think?

He is so cute! Well you are definitly one lucky lady to get to sleep through the night! Boston still hasn't mastered that skill yet...he still gets up around 4-4:30am to eat. I almost had him sleeping through the night, but between the move, living with my family, dealing with time change, and moving again, things haven't gone so well. But hopefully soon, I'm dying! jk. It just kills me because Brynlee was sleeping through the night by 9 weeks!! Crazy huh! Oh and give Emmett a high five for me for rolling over!

Yeah Emmett for giving you mom a break. It is so great when you realize that you slept through the night as well.

Good job on rolling over. My kids never rolled until after they could walk.

That is awesome!! Lets just hope that he continues to sleep so well. Hunter did that until he started teething and then it was back to getting up in the night again. Here's hoping that Emmett doesn't do this to you!!
